About Big O Tires
Big O Tires grew out of a tire-buying cooperative, founded in 1962 to supply tires
to independent tire dealers. They banded together to compete against tire
manufacturers’ company stores and big retail chains. The tire-buying cooperative
quickly evolved into the Big O Tires store franchise organization. It has grown to
more than 500 stores in 19 states and Canada. The stores are independently
owned and operated by members of the communities in which they are located.
